bridging diverse cultures and backgrounds. Moreover, she elaborated that English ranks as one of the most widely spoken and studied languages globally. For this reason, it has become essential for students to learn English nowadays. In her closing remarks, she stressed that English transcends being merely a school subject, but a language that unites individuals around the world. As a token of appreciation for her interesting lecture, Dr. Dorothy Zonunsangi, Head of Department, presented a humble gift to the Principal. She further motivated that once the students join the department of English, they should explore literature beyond their normal courses. Since literature is a social document, she reminded the English Core students to stay aware of the current societal issues, particularly literature-related issues such as, Book of the Year awarded by the Mizo Academy of Letters, the Sahitya Academy Award and so on. On behalf of the department, she extended her best wishes to the outgoing students for their future endeavours.
Following the speech, a cake-cutting ceremony was conducted by the representative of each class. A farewell cake was generously donated by the 4th-semester English core students through their contributions. Thereafter, representing the outgoing students, Malsawmtluanga delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude to his teachers and recounted some humorous experiences to his juniors. He concluded his speech with a poem he composed during his time in high school. As a token of love and gratitude, the outgoing students donated a water filter to the department. The Hod received their thoughtful donation with appreciation.
Last but not least, the outgoing students also performed a lovely song accompanied by harmonious musical instruments.

The day ended with capturing memories with photo sessions. The entire program was well-organised, filled with amazing memories and fun.
