His Excellency General Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.), The Governor of Mizoram and President, Indian Red Cross Society Mizoram State Branch presented Certificate of Affiliation to Govt. T. Romana College, Aizawl granting Institutional Membership (Annual) to Indian Red Cross Society. The certificate was received by Mr. R. Lalremliana, Vice Principal on behalf of Govt. T. Romana College at the Inaugural Ceremony for Launching Activities of IRCS, Mizoram State Branch on July 10, 2025.

The Graduation Dinner for the Class of 2022–2025 was held on 29th May 2025 at the college campus. The programme was hosted by Vanlalthatluanga (IV Semester, English) and Zorammawii (IV Semester, Public Administration).
The event began with the arrival of guests and refreshments from 12:00 to 12:30 P.M., followed by a devotion led by Prof. Malsawmliana from the Department of History.
Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal of Govt. T. Romana College, delivered the keynote address. In her speech, she acknowledged and commended the dedication and perseverance of the graduating students.
A variety of departmental performances were showcased during the event. Special presentations were given by the departments of Economics, Mizo, English, Political Science, Education, History, Public Administration, and Sociology. The teaching faculty also contributed a special musical performance.
As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to the graduating students by the respective Heads of Departments.
Dr. Lalchhuanmawia, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, delivered the farewell address. He urged the graduates to lead lives guided by purpose and to strive to make meaningful contributions to society. Dr. Mawitea also encouraged the students to embrace risks, challenge conventions, and pursue their dreams with courage and determination.
The grand dinner commenced at 4:00 P.M., followed by an informal session featuring performances by Mr. Ngurthansanga and the GTRC Music Society.
The celebration was attended by faculty members and graduating students and was marked by joy, recognition, and cherished memories.
Govt T. Romana College opens admission to 1st Semester for the year 2025 from 7 May, 2025. Admission is offered to applicants on First Come First Serve basis depending on the availability of seats. Admission can be done both in Online mode as well as Offline Mode on every working day during office hour. Admission Form is available at Office Counter. Help Desk is set up with Professors on duty to help and guide applicants. Applicants are advised to approach the HELP DESK for any problems and queries.

Finishing School 2025 was jointly organised by Student Support, Progression & Placement Cell, IQAC & Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell, GTRC at the College Campus on April 28, 2025. The programme was orgnaised in three parallel sessions with three different themes.

Session I : Topic: Mental Resilience
The Session was held in Room No 501, chaired by Mrs. Ramdinliani, Member, SSPPC. Ms. Jessica Lallawmzuali, MPS delivered speech and held interactive session on the topic, explaining that
mental Resilience is an ability to cope with adversity and bounce back from difficult experience- mainly focusing on the importance of developing strong mentality, seeking support and practicing self care. Speaking from her experience, she talked about challenges to build a resilient mindset, contribution of self care, like exercise, healthy eating and sufficient sleep to mental well being, and the role of mental strength in developing , pursuing and realizing aims and goals.
Session II : Topic: Responsible Citizenship
The session was held in room No. 401 chaired by Mrs. Lalsangluri Sailo, Member,SSPPC. Ms. Lalrinnungi Sailo, LLB, Additional Govt Advocate, District Court, Aizawl delivered speech on the topic stressing on the need to be aware of one’s rights and duties, active participation in community and nation by upholding law, respecting others and contribute to the well-being of the society. It is important to recognize our place in the larger community and nation and understand the consequences of one’s actions – personally and on broader scale. Engagement in civic duties- participating in democratic process, volunteering in community initiatives, stay informed about current events, to make positive impact and act with honesty, integrity and accountability contributes to make Responsible Citizen. Moreover, in present situation, it is very important to know how to use Social Media in a desired ways.
Session III : Topic: Navigating Music: From Passion to Profession
The session was held in Room No.202 and chaired by Mr. Lalhmachhuana, Member, SSPPC. Mr. Kima Chhangte, Musician/Songwriter, HomeFree Music Production shared his experience and interact with students on the topic. He stated that music provides a significant journey that involves balancing artistic creativity with practical realities of a career. While music fulfills one, provides a sense of joy, expression and connection, it demands hard work and the ability to navigate a challenging industry and to develop a strong work ethic and continuous refining of one’s musical crafts and business skills. It is, therefore, very important to find a balance between one’s passion for music and the need to make a living and also other aspects of life. For musicians, creating and sharing their music is rewarding in many ways, not just financially.
All three sessions are held in parallel at 1:30 pm.
The Department of Public Administration. Government T.Romana college observed 'World Social Work Day' on 16th March 2026, 2:00 pm at GTRC Public Administration Department Room. The resource person was Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Associate Professor, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme was hosted by Dr.Sakhawliana, Faculty in the department of Public Administration.

The college Felicitation committee organised a programme on 11.03.2026 to felicitate students who did well in the the 2025 0dd Semester Under graduate Examination.
The Women Cell/ Internal Complaint cell organised a seminar/ workshop on the same day and the next ie. 12.03.2026 on the topic 'Gender Equity and Sensitisation' under the PM - USHA scheme. The resource persons who spoke on the topic were Dr.Lalchhuanmawii and Mrs. Ramdinliani

On 18th March, 2026, the NSS and NCC Unit of Govt. T. Romana College and Army Recruiting Agency, Aizawl organised Career Guidance for Indian Army at RUSA Hall of Govt T. Romana college, Aizawl.

The college and the Yummy food Ltd. jointly organised Dancing, Eating and Cos play Competition in the college. Mika of 6th Semester won the Dance Battle. Cos play competition was won by Philip Lalremtluanga & Ruthi Ramengmawii

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Literature Club, organised a poetry-writing competition. The results of the competition were declared on 20th March 2026. The results are as follows:
First Prize: Ruthi Ramengmawii, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics. Second Prize: Gaby Zobiakhlui Sailo, 6th Semester, Department of Sociology. Third Prize: H. Lallawmawmi, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics

A Two Days Seminar on Unity and Integrity through Culture was organised by IQAC of the college under the PM-USHA scheme where the key note Speaker was Mr.PC Zosangliana and the members of the NGO of Republic Vengthlang actively participated in it. Republic Veng the locality in which the college is located.The Thingsiri Cultural club of the college also presented a practical session of cultural Dances of the state
