Inter-college Futsal Tournament Runner-up

The Futsal team of the college made it to the finals of Inter-college Futsal tournament organised by Mizoram Football Association but lost the final match on 11.10.2026 to Hrangbana College making them the runner up team. However, the event made history for the college at the fact that it was the first time that the college had participated in a state level Futsal Tournament and also secured the second position.

SPECIAL CLEANLINESS DRIVE ORGANISED BY CLEANLINESS AND BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE

As directed by Swachhata Hi Seva2026 Guidelines, Cleanliness and Beautification Committee, GTRC and NSS, GTRC Unit jointly organized Special Cleanliness Drive- Garbage Free India in the College with a Theme: “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag: Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat” on the specified date i.e 6th Octber,2026. The event aimed to promote personal hygiene and civic responsibility among students.

Participants: All 1st Semester students, NSS Volunteers and NSS POs, Members of Cleanliness and Beautification Committee, Staff of the College, around 347 staff and students participated in this activity.

Activities Carried Out:
Under the guidance of teachers, participants were divided into groups and were assigned different works
Campus clean up : sweeping and cleaning classrooms, corridors, playground and the whole College campus.
Waste Collection: Gathering litters, plastic wrappers and papers and segregated these wastes as directed by guidelines.
Facility Maintenance: cleaning water coolers, toilets, wash basins etc.
Outcome: This cleanliness drive transformed the appearance of the College, leaving the premises spotless and fresh. It also renewed commitment among staffs and students to maintain daily cleanliness standards in and around the College campus. The event concluded with distribution of refreshment sponsored by NSS, GTRC Unit

Inter-College Quiz Competitions

The College Quiz team won the third place in the State level inter- college Laltharate unau Foundation Quiz on Environment on 8.10.2026. In another competition - LESDE UPSC Challenge Inter-College Quiz Competition, the college participants Danny Lalneihsanga 5th sem (Political Science ) and Apet Johan 3rd sem (Political Science) won the 2nd position.

The College Music Society Won The Second Runners-up Position

Govt. T. Romana College Music Society won the second runners up position in the song contest jointly organised by the Mizo Song Composer Society and Mizoram Art and Culture Deptt., GOM at Ignite Studio in Aizawl on 3rd Oct, 2026.
