Admission to 1st Semester B.A for 2021-2022 Session at Govt. T.Romana College will be opened for eligible candidates during 21st June 2021 to 2nd July 2021.
Admission will be done only in ONLINE mode through admission portal: admission.trcollege.edu.in. Admission portal will be opened from 21st June 2021. (Offline admission may also be offered at the College in accordance with (relaxation on) the Covid-19 Restrictions notified by the State Government).
DIRECT ADMISSION will be given to those candidates who have passed HSSLC in 1st Div and above (for English Core, candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in English paper).
Offer of Admission will be given to those selected candidates within two working days from the date of submission of ONLINE APPLICATION through SMS or phone call to their registered Mobile Number. Selected candidates will have to complete their admission within two days of receiving the offer for admission. Failing which their selection will be treated as 'declined'.
Certain reservations will be granted for PwD, SC, ST & OBC Candidates as per GOI norms.

The Eco-Club, in collaboration with the Beautification Committee of Govt. T.Romana College observed Green Mizoram Day on 11th June, 2021 (Friday). The event was observed amid the State Government imposed Total Lockdown due to the surge of Covid-19 positive cases in the State. The Eco Club and the Beautification Committee planted as many as 22 saplings of different types of tree species in and around the College Campus to celebrate the Green Mizoram Day 2021. As many as 20 saplings have also been distributed to the teaching faculty with a request to plant the saplings in their respective premises on behalf of the Eco Club. Planting of trees was done in the presence of the Principal, Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki.
Under the 'Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav India at 75' programme, a Seminar on Bhagat Singh (a freedom fighter) was organised on 23rd March 2021 (Tuesday) at RUSA Hall. The Seminar was attended among others by Pu R.Hmingthanzuala, Director of Art & Culture, Govt of Mizoram and Pu R.Lallianzuala, Joint Director of Higher & Technical Education Department, Govt. of Mizoram.
In the technical session two papers namely - Life and Works of Baghat Singh and Bhagat Singh and his Ideology were presented by Mrs. Catherine L.Chhangte, Asst. Professor of English and Mr. Thanghmingliana, Asst. Professor of History respectively. It was attended by students of 6th Semester and 4th Semester (History).
The Seminar was jointly organized by Govt. T.Romana College and Department of Art & Culture, Govt of Mizoram.
The Eco Club of Govt. T.Romana College observed World Water Day on 22.03.2021 under the theme ‘Save Water, Save the World’. A short meeting was organised at Room No. 302 which was attended by selected students. Mr. R.Lalremliana, Associate Professor and Nodal Officer of Eco Club delivered a speech on the theme ‘Save Water, Save the World’.
Mr. Lalengmawia, IAS, the Commissioner of Higher and Technical Education, paid a visit to Govt. T. Romana College on May 13, 2025. The Commissioner was accompanied by some officials from the Secretariat and the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education. A brief meeting was held in the Meeting Hall to extend a warm welcome to the Commissioner and his team. The meeting was chaired by Mr. R. Lalremliana, Vice-Principal of Government T. Romana College, who welcomed the Commissioner and the other officials and provided a brief overview of the College’s history.
6th semester students of the department of Public Administration, Govt T.Romana College attended training on Suntainable Life Skill: Rural Development Schemes at the SIRD&PR Auditorium on 4th April, 2025.
On 14th May 2025, Dept of Political Science, 6th Semester students and Faculties organized Voluntary works in Cleanliness and Beautification of College Campus with a focus to enhance the cleanliness and beautification of the College . Weeding, planting flowers and maintaining existing flowerbeds in different places within the College were done hoping to add vibrancy to the Campus landscape.
The Department of English, Govt. T. Romana College organised ‘Awareness on NEP 2020 for 4th and 6th Semester Parents’ on April 9, 2025. The programme was attended by 42 parents of the 2nd and 4th Semesters NEP students. The primary objective of the programme was to familiarise parents of the NEP students with the key aspects of the National Education Policy 2020, along with the new subject combinations offered under NEP.
The Awareness programme commenced at 1:00 pm. The Chairperson, Dr. Lalrinmawii Tochhawng, Associate Professor, Department of English started the programme with an introduction of the faculty members in the Department of English.
A collaborative meeting of the IQAC Coordinators and Alumni was held on 16.05.2025 at 11:00 A.M at the Meeting Hall, Govt. T. Romana College. The Principal, the IQAC Coordinators and eight Alumni members, including the President and the Alumni Secretary, were present. The Joint meeting aimed to enhance the consolidation and coordination between the IQAC and the Alumni. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Dorothy Zonunsangi, Coordinator, IQAC.
An awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS was held at the college campus by the Red Ribbon Club, Govt T. Romana College, in collaboration with the MSACS on the 5th March, 2025. The Resource Person was the Deputy Director of the Red Ribbon Club, Mrs. Lalneihzeli Sailo. She gave an awareness lecture regarding HIV/AIDS to the students.
