The Department of Sociology at Govt. T. Romana College observed the World Day of Social Justice on February 21, 2025. Although the official observance falls on February 20, it was marked on the following day due to a government holiday. The event was attended by VI semester students, and a lecture was delivered by Sissy Dz Zampuii Zote, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology.
The theme for the 2025 World Day of Social Justice was "Empowering Inclusion: Bridging Gaps of Social Justice," highlighting the significance of inclusive policies and social protection in addressing systemic inequality.
Following a beneficial and successful awareness programme with the UD&PA department, the Sociology department, Govt. T. Romana College took the initiative to hold another awareness programme with the Rural Development Department, with the goal of educating students about the various Rural Development Schemes that are part of their syllabus.
On 19th February 2025 Pune Institute of Bussiness Management (PIBM) orgainzed Students Development Programme on Career Awareness at Government T Romana College. The resource person was Mr. CA Utkarsh Upadhyay, a distinguished corporate trainer and business advisor with over ten years of expertise in Finance, Accounts and Entrepreneurial education. Specializing in professional programs like CA, ASSA, US CMA and CIMA.
